Carpenter® Technology’s Micro-Melt® PD#1 is an air-hardening, cold-work die steel specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. The advanced alloy composition of this steel is further enhanced by the CarTech® Micro-Melt powder metal process, which ensures an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure. This limited-edition Sprint Run® expression of the best-selling Delica® 4 Lightweight showcases this high-performance blade steel in exceptional style. Its PlainEdge™ blade is full-flat ground for superior edge geometry and cloaked in a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating. It is supported by a stout back lock mechanism and housed within a fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle injection molded in a deep burgundy color. Consistent with this handsome black-and-burgundy theme, the knife’s four-position pocket clip, lock bar, and handle hardware also sport durable black coatings.
