Our cast iron skillets merge the best of the old traditional cast iron with modern technology, offering searing, shallow frying, pan cooking without rust. The skillets have great heat retention and even heating, and work well on both gas or induction stoves, put it in the oven with no worries.
These cast iron pans are designed for life in Singapore, with our hot and humid climate quickly bringing rust problems to many a cast iron. They are factory coated that is primarily to help with eliminating rust most rust problems, but also helps to prevent sticking of foods to the pan. All skillets have side pour to allow for easy pouring out of gravy or sauce.
You will quickly love cooking with these cast irons that are so versatile and yet can take the heat.

Silicone Handle:
They may not fit snugly, but will cover enough of the handle to prevent it from burning you.
Do note all pieces have some pitting (small holes) and this is a result of how they are manufactured and not defects. Some pieces are also not perfectly cast and may have minor uneven surface. Do not buy if you cannot accept this fact. See pictures for further understanding of the above. The reason is that Cast Iron cookware have been around for literally thousands of years and the basic way they are made (from molten steel) is still the same, hence this is what you see.
Do note the surface texture of these pans can be described as "slightly rough".
Do note cast iron requires some care compared to other cookware due to it's prone to rusting.
1. Do not leave it to air dry, wipe it dry always. Do not leave water inside for too long. Yes, it is coated and it will be less likely to rust vs uncoated or seasoned cast irons but please do not assume it to be Rust-Proof.
2. You need to coat the whole skillet with a thin layer of cooking oil if you are not using it for 7 days or more to prevent rust. If you live less than 500m from the coast or near a forested area (high humidity), oil it after use.
