A safari bed is a really good camping companion. It is portable, light weight and best of all, keep a good distance off the ground when you sleep.

A safari bed is also a great fordable bed you could use at home as it takes up so little space when stored and can be setup in 2 minutes if you know what you are doing. Throw in a pillow and a blanket and you will sleep soundly on this bed.

Read the instructions to learn how you can setup your safari bed.

The parts of a safari bed

What a Safari Bed comes with

  1. The Bed Itself
  2. 2 poles which form the frame
    1. Pole A ~ The pole you put in first
    2. Pole B ~ The 2nd pole you put in
Refer to the picture to see all parts. Pole A just has 2 holes while Pole B has a hole that stretches till the side.
Open up the bed as shown

Step 1:

Open up the bed as shown. Take note that ALL the legs must face the same direction. If they are not facing the same direction, you need to adjust the legs.

 Upright the bed

Step 2:

Now lift up the bed. Once you have done that, spread the legs apart. This will open the bed as shown in the picture.

All that is left is to now insert the 2 poles into the slots as pointed out by the arrows.

Insert Pole A into the side of the bed

Step 3:

Insert Pole A first. It should be easy to do so, as the canvas is not stretched yet. Just slot it into the hole designed for the pole and insert the 2 holes into the points sticking out.

*There is no correct side to put Pole A or Pole B into, just remember to ALWAYS slot in Pole A first.

 Pole B ready for tightening

Step 4:

Now its time to insert in Pole B. This will be slightly more difficult, but if done correctly, does not require much force.

Slot in Pole B into through the canvas as shown in the picture. Make sure it is aligned as shown.

Once you have done that, slide in one end of Pole B first. Follow by sliding in the other side. Firmly coax the hole into the slot rather than using a sudden force.

The Safari Bed is all setup and ready for you to sleep on it!
